For the first time in a while, I took out my old D7000. I had it with me on while riding around in the sunset. I'd lend it out to a friend soon, and I wanted to get a feel for how to best operate it, again. I my favorite Nikon F-mount lens: the Series E 50mm f/1.8.

A row of houses seen from across a grass field reflect sunset light.
Pink-peach glow in the sky with some broken cloud cover over houses in the distance. The windows of the houses reflects the light of the setting sun. The calm water of a ditch running through a grass field softly mirrors the part of the scene where the sunset hits the houses.
An arch over the entrance to a parking lot at an asian restaurant.
A photo taken from the parking lot of an asian restaurant with an arch over the exit to limit tall vehicles. The composition places a small tree on the other side of the road right in the center of the square arch. On the white painted surface of the arch, the following phrase is lettered in red: "Tot Ziens We Zien U Graag Terug".
A house in dusk with warm light from the living room hitting a ligth-green bush in its front garden.
A dark scene of a house with warm lighting in its living room. A red for-sale sign stands in the garden. The warm light from the house contrasts pleasingly with the blue cast of dusk and with the yellow-green color of a bush in the front garden, it washes pleasantly into the dark left side of the scene.
A warmly lit interior of a building is seen from the other side of a canal, standing among cars in a small parking lot.

The next day, I loaned it out to a friend and she was very excited about it.
