Main sail ribbon pouch

I remade a broken, worn-out pouch my parents use on the boat. We use it to hold the ribbons that we use to bind together the main sail on the boom when it is taken down.

I started out by studying the original design. After I started to work on it, I thought I had messed up the order of operations. I managed to correct for that, and after some troubles, I did make a very nice replica out of old sailcloth and a white ripstop for the top.

The pouch hangs right under the boom at the mast. Its mouth is held open by a 15 cm diameter ring, and a lighter fabric makes up the rim which can be closed with a drawcord.

It looks beautiful with the rest of the boat, along some other white or grey details like the roof, some handles, and lines.

I'm happy with how it turned out, in the end.

Over the past couple years, the white ripstop at the top has started to yellow quite a bit. The pouch holds up nicely, aside from that.
